Compton, CA— On May 30, 2024, the Compton High School Alumni Association announced the names of seven Compton High School seniors who will be receiving $1,000.00 scholarships to attend the college of their choice.
The winners and their respective scholarship categories are as follows: Alma Aguilera, Breanna C. Herrera, Ha’Shai Cyprain and Ricardo Gonzalez each received the Leader/Scholar Award; Marisol Rodriguez, the Maxcy Filer Community Service Award; and Zariah Corbett and I’Shaun Adams, the Most Improved Award.
The Compton High Class of 1973 and Judge Kelvin Filer donated funds for three of the scholarships. The Compton High School Alumni Association, established in October 2006, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. For more information visit www.ComptonHighAlumni.org.
